Here is my headcanon for the proxies in my Creepypasta/Slenderverse/SCPFoundation/Horror universe "Your Darkest Fears".

Note: I just want to remind people that what you see here only applies to MY universe. This is just how I see the proxies in my universe. Please, don't shove other headcanons down my throat. I just want to be faraway from other universes and to just have fun. I hope you understand. If you like my headcanon, I appreciates the likes.

What is a proxy

noun, plural prox·ies.

the agency, function, or power of a person authorized to act as the deputy or substitute for another.

the person so authorized; substitute; agent.

a written authorization empowering another person to vote or act for the signer, as at a meeting of stockholders.

an ally or confederate who can be relied upon to speak or act in one's behalf.

In this case, it is somebody who is serving on behalf of the Slenderman.

How the Proxies are chosen

Proxies are chosen in a selective manner, usually based on the skill sets, familial troubles, social interrogation and the overall potential usefulness of the person chosen. Some are chosen because they feel like outcasts while others are chosen because they suffered from unexpected occurrences. They are often observed as children when young, but when the time comes, they are chosen. Sometimes, they will be influenced by Slenderman to do what he desires or what they desire. It's been said that some are willing to serve him through whatever reasons.

The branding of the Operator is usually placed in the crook of the neck but it can be branded on the hand, wrists, shoulders and even back. Sometimes it is also done on the torso or forearms as well as the face. Even the legs are sometimes branded as well. This seals the contract and connects the Operator with his proxies. It is done two ways, either by branding from the tentacles or by carving the mark onto them. It can take on several kinds of forms, sometimes looking like a tattoo, othertimes looking like a big scar.

Once branded, they are usually granted with a slowed down body clock, AKA a Krono clock, causing the person to age slower for the use of serving the Operator longer. They are rendered unable to age or be killed easily. They do get older, but at a slower pace. This is so that they can keep serving the Operator longer. As a result of this, most proxies tend to be picked up in modern times while some of them are from different time periods. The effects of the body clock can differ. For humans, it causes them to age slower. For demons, mutants, or hybrids, the effects will vary, due to their different anatomy. They may age normally, but it may differ.

Proxy classes

There are many different types of proxies in the Asylum and in other parts of the world. The proxies are categorized based on their skill, their abilities, and their strength. They are classified by many types. Some are classified in one class, others are classified in two or more, depending on their skills or abilities. There are many different classes and sub-classes as well, but these are the common main ones. Here are the four main ones that tend to reside at the Asylum, as well as the other hideouts throughout the world.

  • Administrative/observer proxies: Their function is that they primarily observe and help control the other proxies. They keep tabs on each completed mission and report back to the Operator as well as keep an eye on the idle ones not currently on a mission. They tend to organize supplies and food rations among the family and try to keep tabs on resources as well. Some of them are often sent out alone to track and observe their target to track their every move. There are frequently the most loyal or the most desperate proxies. They often act as surveillance over the Slender forest.
  • Scout/Defensive Proxies: Their task is to go out and track down who or whatever it is they're looking or tracking for. They're also sent to see if there is any danger up ahead or if there are intruders or unsuspecting victims that are approaching the Slender Forest. They prefer to stay out of combative situations and to stay on the sidelines but will fight if their lives are at stake or it’s a last resort. They are the ones that keep tabs on everything around them and help the others by means of erasing evidence of their existence through video, media or any other means of them being possibly found out, help with medical needs or overall, keep an eye on potential danger among those who cross their paths. They are often the first ones to be spotted.
  • Hitman/Attack/Hunter Proxies: Their purpose is to go out and specifically murder or terrify people. There isn't much else they do besides this. They are the offensive in combat beside the Guardian Proxies and usually have lethal weapons to defend themselves. They're also sent to eliminate monster or demon creatures that get out into the human world or can cause a disturbance. They even fight off some of the dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals of Mesozoic Island that might get off the island and cause problems. They are usually the most unstable, more offensively combative or strongest proxies.
  • Guardian proxies: There purpose is that they stay behind and defend the Slender Forest and Asylum. They very rarely ever leave the area and often are the main line of defense if things go wrong. (if they are found by an enemy force at their hideout) They are often the most powerful and dangerous proxies of all.

Sub classes

For proxies who are not categorized in any of the other classes above, they are classified here for either their different functions or abilities they may have. Any proxy can be assigned to any of them. Sometimes, they will be promoted to any of the others classes, but it depends on what happens. Here are the other classes that either help out in the asylum, go out to do whatever task the Operator wants, or help out with the other classes as well. Amongst them include:

  • Ambush proxies: These proxies are quite similar to the attack proxies, only instead that they lie and wait in one spot until when their target isn't looking, they tackle without warning and kill them on sight. Like the scouts, they also keep a look out for danger, but unlike the scouts, who prefer to stay out of combative situations, the Ambush types are made for combat. Most ambush proxies tend to use a knife due to their lighter weight while others use just their bare hands to do the job. Sometimes, they will also use either ropes or barbed wire as well to do the job. They will either chase them down if their victim starts to get away and will continue to chase them until either they catch up to them or if another proxy gets to them first. They prefer to do their job either at the edge of the forest, dark alleyways, abandoned houses, etc.
  • War/Demolition/executioner proxies: These proxies are like the equivalent of black ops. They are quite few in numbers, but they are considered so deadly that they even surpass the guardian proxies in strength and power. Like the guardians, they stay behind and defend the Slender Forest and Asylum, but unlike them, they can also leave the Slender Forest and Asylum if the Slenderman has a task for them and they are required to carry it out. They are often sent out on tasks alone for most of the times, mostly due to their powers, but are rarely sent together on a mission that requires all of their abilities. One is often sent with a team that may require heavy backup. These proxies are also known as "executioner proxies" due to them being part of a group known as "The Executioners," an elite team that takes on the most difficult tasks.
  • Medic/Healer proxies: Their purpose is to provide medical attention to any of the proxies that may be injured either in battle or on a mission or task. But despite this position, they're still capable of defending themselves. Some of the medics here are very well trained and experienced are the best. Like the scouts, they prefer to stay out of combative situations and to stay on the sidelines but they will fight if their lives are at stake or it’s a last resort. The medical supplies they are given are made in the underworld. Because of their medical expertise, some of the Scout classed proxies who specialized in the medical field have learned a few things from them.
  • Intel/Hacker proxies: Their purpose is that they are tasked on getting any kind of intel or any information on anything regardless. They are skilled hackers that will do anything to obtain any kind of information without getting caught regardless. Some of them will also go out to get any information on anything regardless. Very similar to the Scout proxies/Defensive Proxies, they prefer to stay out of combative situations. Some will only fight if necessary.
  • Pyro/Arson proxies: These proxies are very unique that, as their name implies that, they have the ability to produce or make fire based attacks. Some of them have pyrokinesis, while some of them use gasoline and lighters or matches to make fire. This tends to make them a bit powerful. Sometimes, they can make walls of fire to trap or surround their target and prepare to kill their victims. They can also use it to destroy evidence if necessary.
  • Animal/Companion: While it may not technically be a class, it still serves a purpose. Some proxies tend to have animal allies with them if the animal becomes attached to their new master. They will act as their new companion and/or bloodhound. If the animal has bonded with their new master, the Slenderman will mark the animal and brand them with the operator symbol on them like he does with his proxies.
  • Interrogators: Those who are tasked with interrogating captives for information on just about anything what they want to know. They will use just about any kind of interrogation method in the book.
  • Saboteurs: They are tasked with sabotaging machines and other devices, along with any enemy plans on whatever the enemy forces plan to do. This allows them to set their enemies plans back if it is a success. They're also tasked with eliminating evidence as well.
  • Mechanics: Those who are tasked with keeping the machines and some of the weapons in good working order. It's usually for those who are experts on machines.
  • Cleaners: Those who are ordered to keep the Slender asylum or any of the other hideouts clean. It's a routine that is usually shared between the proxies since none of them are assigned to it.
  • Reconnaissance: They are tasked to gather information and strategizes offensive and defensive plays.
  • Trainer: They usually train the new recruits to be prepared for whatever the Slenderman desires. They will push them to their limits if necessary.
  • Elemental: Those that can control any natural element to their advantage and use any of the forces of nature against any foe or target.
  • Hybrid: They are those who are fused with the DNA of any or two or more lifeforms and can use their mutated forms to their advantage. It can be assigned to any of those who are hybrids.
  • Double agents: They are tasked to infiltrate enemy territory undercover in disguise to obtain and get whatever the Slenderman orders them to do. They tend to remain low and will only leave when they got what they came for.
  • Enforcer: Their job is to make sure fellow proxies get the job done.
  • Commander: They are those who are assigned as group leader to any Slender household and are the ones who often receives the orders that the Slenderman gives when they're not at the Asylum. They're very similar to the Administrative/observer proxies, who help control the other proxies. The only difference is that unlike the Administrative/observer proxies, whose job is to stalk and observe targets when they're sent out alone on a assignment, they actually give the orders and lead their groups to whatever assignment needs to be done, and like the Enforcer, their job is to make sure fellow proxies get the job done. They're often sometimes used as a representative of the Slenderman to make sure no other proxies would try to take control but him.
  • Master thief: Those who are a master of thievery and stealing and are able to get in and out of places without getting caught. Whatever the Slenderman wants them to steal, they will go after it.
  • Messenger: Those who are tasked with sending out messages and orders to the proxies on what their assignments are, what events are going on, what the Slenderman wants to speak about, etc. These messages are either sent out as scrolls or as letters.

Proxy types

Proxies may also be categorized by ranks as well, although the common ones are such as The Hallowed, The Berserkers, The Sleepers, The Agents and The Revenants. The following describes them from Encyclopedia Slenderia.

  • 1 - The Hallowed, those who have been totally dominated by him and act only upon his will. Brainless, emotionless drones. Useful for attacking but otherwise useless. From my limited interactions, they just sit around in a catatonic state when he's not leading them like puppets. Standard mooks.
  • 2 - The Berserkers, those who are under his control but can act on their own when he can't be arsed commanding them. These are far more dangerous than the Hallowed, because they can work their way into positions of trust to further his agenda. They often think they're Agents, but they're not really….
  • 3 - The Sleepers, who are under his control but not aware…. Often Runners, they come under his control when they're mind is at its weakest, during blackouts or sleep. He then uses them to attack other Runners. They are, for this reason, considerably more dangerous than Berserkers; Berserkers act like they're not under his control, but Sleepers don't know.
  • 4 - The Agents, who act for him despite not being under his control. Whatever their motivations, if they act on his behalf, then they are Agents…. One of their biggest assets is that they're totally sane and retain all of their mental faculties which means they can target Runner in ways far more creative than anything that the Tall One himself can think up. Albert Conaghan is the reference.
  • 5 - The Revenants, who I am too wary to speak of right now. Suffice to say... we (Revenants) are far and away the most dangerous. And that's not a boast, it is a statement of fact. It's a good thing for you that we're few in number and an even better thing that none of us are currently in the field.”

The Slender Asylum

This solid concrete fortress stands far out in the Slender Forest where it is the headquarters of where many of the proxies reside. It use to be a mental institution back then, but now it serves as a hideout for the proxies that serve the Slenderman. It serves as the one way entrance to the Underrealm, the place that exists between earth and hell. It is like a fortress of sorts and also serves as a temporary residence for the criminally insane or the super natural or the underworldly. It use to be known as the Blackwood's Asylum, until the Slenderman became involved and the asylum was abandoned and taken over by him.

There are portals powered by generators that allow the many killers and entities and such to move in and out at random different locations to do their thing. They also allow the proxies to be sent to different locations at different places around the world for whatever task is needed, and to also connect to the other hideouts as well. The portals were constructed by Underworld Cybernetics in the Underworld by Dr. Xavier.

There are medical facilities to treat the wounded or injured should they return with casualties. Some of the medics are trained and are the best. Medical supplies are often shipped from the Underworld to the Asylum.

The fortress is heavily armored with solid concrete, mounted machine guns, and a couple of lookout towers to keep an eye on the forest or to spot danger ahead.

There are sleeping quarters for many of the proxies who are 'permanent' residents there, although most of the other proxies tend to reside in the Underworld or in other places. It's for if they're staying over in the human world for a while.

There is also clean running water that is supplied from either the Asylum's water tanks or the underground wells. Sometimes, some of it is fetched from the nearby rivers close to the Asylum. Rarely when the dry season happens, it can cause problems.

There is a storage room that is filled with whatever artifacts, parts, and trophies any of the proxies bring back to the asylum, from confiscated weapons from proxy hunters that have been slayed, to the parts of vanquished enemies, to any of the objects from the 538 objects of the Holders.

There is also a torture room as well for interrogating suspects or prisoners as well. It's where they do it to get information out of those who have been captured. Proxies that are specialized in interrogation will use various methods. There is also a tank where Slenderian seedpods that have been made by the Slenderman himself are stored, so that they can be used and put into carcasses of those that have been killed and dissected.

There is electric power that is runned either by the Asylum's generators or it is harnessed from power plants nearby as well in case the generator break down as well as some limited, sporadic Wi-Fi connection.

While the Slender Asylum is the main base of the proxies and where they reside, the proxies also reside in other places as well, such as old mansions, log cabins, abandoned warehouses, old castles and other places around the world. This is so that not only the proxies are spreaded about, but they can be harder to find by enemy forces and they can cover other parts of the world to be ready to take orders from whatever the Slenderman wants them to do. This can also help make it harder for proxy hunters or SCP foundation personal to find out which hideout is the true base of operations. In each household, there is like usually about three or four, while some have about five, six or seven. Like the Slender Asylum, each of the Slender households and hideouts also acts as a temporary residence for the criminally insane or the super natural or the underworldly if they need a place to hide out in for a few days, or as a permanent residence.

About the proxies

The proxies once served as guardians back in ancient times where they were sent to eliminate demons and monsters and wanted criminals. It's unknown how long they have been around, but some say they appeared sometime after the first apocalypse that plagued the world eons before. Nowadays, the modern day proxies still serve the same purpose as their predecessors once did, but they are now also trained to be murderous assassins and executioners.

Whenever a proxy dies, retires, or gets promoted for whatever the reasons, another is to take their place. For example, if a attack proxy were to either get stronger as time goes by or if they have an encounter with a unexpected event that grants them additional abilities, they would be promoted to either Guardian proxy or War proxy depending on conditions of what happened.

The proxies tend to work shifts and such. Most of the proxies tend to reside in the Underworld, while the ones at the Fortress are on duty. Which means when one proxy is done with their shift, another comes and takes their place when they begin their shift.

Most of the proxies in the ranks are somewhat human, while some are demons, some are mutants, and some are hybrids. It's because of a majority proxies being different races and such is why Slenderman has strengthened his forces.

The proxies are sort of knitted together like one big, awkward, dysfunctional family. This can cause major tensions among them and cause fights as well as also having some of the proxies being very protective of each other.

About four dozen of them are on duty for the most part. They take up various positions throughout the asylum and the Slender forest. By taking multiple positions, if one proxy reports trouble, some of the others will convene together in the location where the proxy is calling out and will assist.

Proxies tend to carry special keys that can allow them to get back to the slender asylum if necessary or to escape. These keys are forged by Underworld Cybernetics that originally allowed criminals to escape. They are made to work on all doors regardless.

Proxies tend to communicate with each other either by computer, radio, walkie talkies, or smartphone to coronate on what's going on. This allows them to stay in touch.

While all of them (usually) are loyal and obey Slenderman, not all of them complete missions or any tasks when told. Some of them are very disrespectful and rude to the Operator, which gradually pisses away at what little patience he has left.

If proxies are going out on a mission to somewhere, they are required to have a disguise on to look less suspicious and to cover their operator symbol on them to be sure not to attract attention. This is so that they can go through crowded or populated places easily.

Whenever proxies are sent out to do their job, they're often sent out alone, although they are accompanied by a partner at times, some are sent out to work in teams, with numbers being three or four. Some teams are as big as six or seven. This ensures that they can get the job done to do whatever the Slenderman decrees.

It's very rare for a proxy to have a flying form cause few of them have the power of flight and usually, it's the high ranking proxies that possess the power of flight.

The Collective tend to operate separately from all of the other proxies due to them being different from all of the others.

The weapons that proxies tend to use vary depending on the proxy. The weapons that proxies tend to use include knives, axes, scythes, guns, bombs, swords, pipes, gauntlets, sickles, shields, chains, whiplashes, spears, claws, bow and arrows, staffs, chainsaws, sledgehammers, daggers, machetes, ropes, maces, hatchets and the list just goes on. Some will experiment and use poisons and chemicals to use them as weapons. Some weapons however are specifically made either by the Operator himself, the proxies themselves, or crafted in the underworld, courtesy of Underworld Cybernetics who tend to manufacture the weapons for them. They even tend to use everyday objects lying around as a weapon to kill.

Whether the proxies are killing to spread fear or are fighting for a noble cause is debatable to those who enter or see them, although what the proxies commonly do is either track down wanted criminals that are guilty for their crimes, eliminate all monster type creatures that get out into the human world or those that can pose as a threat, fight off some of the dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals of Mesozoic Island that might get off the island and cause problems, or track down and find any mysterious artifacts for whatever the reasons.

The reason why the Operator has non-human proxies in his ranks is due to the opposing forces increasing in numbers like the proxy hunters, the creepypasta hunters, the creepypasta hunter robot, The paladins, the many demons and monsters, the dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals on Mesozoic Island, the government, the SCP Foundation, and possibly the military over the years, Slenderman soon realized that the human proxies he had were not strong enough against these forces, so he decided to go beyond his standards of what he normally did and started to strengthen his army by acquiring proxies that are not human. Some of the proxies that he acquired are such as those including demons, mutants, and hybrids. He believes that if he strengthens his army by acquiring non human proxies into his ranks, his forces will stand a chance. This is also because due to some monsters being released into the human world from the Underrealm since ancient times.

It's unknown how many of them he has, although it is estimated he may have over several hundred or so, but the actual number remains unknown due to them being worldwide.

Despite popular belief, the proxies who serve the Slenderman are NOT a bunch of crazies looming around in the woods but rather they are a organization that is worldwide and they are in various locations like suburban areas, major metropolis cities, abandoned buildings, log cabins in the woods, etc. And they can be just about anywhere around the world and they can go just about anywhere. It is why it is hard to determine the exact number.

The Executioners

"The Executioners" are a special mercenary team of proxies that the Slenderman has assembled to take on the most biggest threats that threaten his goals whether they be the Zalgoids, proxy hunters, The paladins, the many demons and monsters, the dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals on Mesozoic Island, the government, the SCP Foundation, or possibly the military. The team was formed after too many proxies died trying to carry out the Slenderman's orders from giant monsters, dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, hunters and even threats from both the criminal human and supernatural Underworlds.

They consist of the most deadliest powerhouses in the army, whether they are either ranging from humans, demons, mutants, or hybrids. Anybody who is considered worthy is assigned here to this team.

They are under the command of The Mutational Terror, a mutant proxy who was created by the Slenderman to help control the other non human proxies and make sure none of them try to rebel. He is basically the most powerful proxy in the entire army.

They are an elite team that takes on the most difficult tasks that others cannot. They are like the equivalent of black ops.

They accept missions that none of the other proxies would, and it's often rumored that some don't come back.

They are sent to eliminate deadly or giant monsters that can pose a deadly threat that other proxies cannot take down. They are basically mere appetizers to them, so the Executioners take them on as a result.

If an invasion of hunters are sent to the Asylum, all proxies are to retreat back in and The Executioners are sent out to deal with the squadron itself. They're considered wrecking machines themselves and can possibly tear through an army in a few minutes flat. Some tend to have nightmare forms as well. They are considered to be the defense of last resort if enemy forces are close to the Asylum.

Most members have a variety of powers that are suited to them depending on the proxy that makes them worthy to be suited here.

Proxy masks

Each proxy has a mask to conceal his or her identity during missions and each mask is decorated by them or created by the Operator and is unique to the proxy. The masks tend to come in a wide variety of colors and are decorated in odd, weird, and unique patterns or markings or symbols on them. This is so the Operator can tell them apart and for the proxies to be unrecognizable by their targets. The masks can take many forms as well such as gas masks, half masks, mouth guards, tribal masks and full face masks- it’s all up to the proxy’s preference. Masks tend to be made from either plaster, plastic, ceramic, wood, metal, leather, fiber, cloth and other kinds of materials. There are hundreds of varieties to choose from and they can take on many forms. The masks are described and broken down as below.

  • Gas masks: Gas masks tend to come in two different types. Either full face gas masks or mouth guard type gas masks. Proxies tend to wear these masks for either cases of exposure to chemical fumes or heavy amounts of smoke or for intimidation purposes. They are worn by those who normally specialize in chemical warfare and poisons. Some of them also have markings painted on them as well.
  • Half masks: Half masks are the type of masks that tend to cover half of the proxy's face. They tend to come in either different designs or colors. Some tend to be decorated with different patterns or markings or symbols on them as well. Some of them are also animal themed as well, likely to represent what animal they associate with the most. Some half masks are also skulls remade into masks as well. Domino masks are also sometimes used as well. These masks are very common to proxies, since they are a favorite.
  • Mouth guards: Mouth guards are special kind of masks that tend to cover the mouth and sometimes the nose sections of their faces. They come in different types, either the gas mask types, the mental asylum types, or the solid mouth guard types. The solid types tend to also be decorated with various patterns or markings or symbols on them as well. They help protect the mouth parts. Some of them are also decorated with sharp toothed smiles on them. Some masks are also made with metallic bars covering the mouth, similar to mouth braces or muzzles.
  • Tribal masks: Tribal masks, as their name implies, they are masks that come from different tribes and they come in different shapes and designs and they are decorated in bizarre designs and patterns. They represent whichever tribe they came from. Like the gas masks, they come in two varieties, either full face masks or half masks types. Most tribal masks are made from wood.
  • Full face masks: Full face masks are the very common masks that proxies tend to wear the most. They come in a variety of different colors, shapes and designs. The masks tend to be decorated with patterns or tribal like markings or symbols on them. They tend to symbolize either the proxy's own personality, their skills or what they do, the conditions they may have, their names, their abilities, or a theme as well. Some of the full face masks tend to be animal themed as well, likely to represent what animal they associate with the most. Like the mouth guard types, some of them are also decorated with sharp toothed smiles as well, although some will have jagged, broken smiles on them as well. Some full face masks tend to have a part of their face exposed, mostly either the right eye or the left eye. Some masks are also old sacks made into masks. Some of these masks are also stitched together from random pieces of cloths in bizarre ways and take on different appearances and such. The most common type of masks they use are the full face white masks. These masks are a favorite to all proxies alike because of their simplicity and they're easy to obtain.
  • Some proxies however may not have or use a mask for any reason, if their faces are already unrecognizable, if their faces can transform into something else, or if they wear something else like helmets, bandanas, fabric mouth masks, goggles, bandages, old sacks, medical masks, visors, glasses, scarfs, welder masks or whatever. Some proxies tend to even wear a combination of the two of sorts, examples would be either like goggles with mouth guards, half masks with bandanas, or full face masks with bandages. The proxies like to mix things up when it comes to what they choose. Basically, it is all up to preference.
  • Some masks will tend to have the operators symbol on them to show their allegiance to the Slenderman. On gas masks, they tend to have the symbol either on the eye socket, or on the filters. On half masks, they have it on the forehead, somewhere above their eyes, or even on the eye sockets. On mouth guard, the symbol is usually on the front, although this normally applies to the solid mouth guard types. On tribal masks and/or full face masks, it's either on the forehead, on the sides of their faces, somewhere above their eyes, across their faces, or even on the eye sockets. It shows they are tied to their master.
  • Although it has yet to be proven, it's been rumored that for proxy hunters who have been slained, their masks are often taken to be reused as new masks for either the proxies themselves or for the newcomers into the ranks or in some cases, a proxy that kills a proxy hunter will take their mask to wear. It is rare however because no one has proof of this yet.
  • The reason why most proxies wear the full face white masks is because aside of their simplicity and being easy to obtain, it's because it's to show their ties to the Slenderman because the white masks tend to symbolize his white face and it is likely to show that they're in allegiance to the Slenderman.
  • Above all else, the main purpose of a mask is to hide the proxy's identity and to make sure that they remain anonymous.

Abilities shared between the proxies

All proxies are capable of telepathy, though some cannot transfer words. The more experienced/powerful proxies can transmit thoughts, feelings and conversations to multiple people or any people they choose, as well as broadcast their location, like a distress call. The less experienced or those who simply do not use telepathy can send feelings, described as pushes, tugs etc.

While all proxies have some sort of telepathic/psychic bond with the rest, some have a stronger bond than others. This also can be accounted for the strong bond of trust between certain pairs of proxies or the strong love for a relationship between proxies.

Some of the more experienced proxies, long-service proxies, or loyal proxies pick up some of the abilities off of their Operator such as a heighten six sense and some distance of “Slender-Walking” as a result. Some proxies will gain a slender form as a result of serving the Slenderman for such a long period of time, but this is a rarity as the only way for it to happen is by genetic mutation and exposure to the Slenderman or if he gives them the power. A sign of this will show by the tentacles protruding out of their backs, and then they will transform into a Slenderman like form. Their skin can also turn either paleish white or a darker gray, depending on the proxy.

Proxies as well have a faster healing factor granted by the Operator so they could heal from severe wounds, broken bones or minor injuries faster and be on their feet in days time rather than months. This also is helped by some of the Scout classed proxies who specialized in the medical field as well as the Medic proxies.

Slenderman's relationships between him and the Proxies

His relationship with his proxies tends to vary.

He will favor some proxies over others, depending on either their abilities, the skills they may have and the responsibilities they have. He may be nitpickity, but that is how he tends to roll. Some of the proxies tend to compete with each other for his favoring as a result.

Slenderman often puts his proxies to the test, to test out their abilities, skills and everything. Sometimes, Slender will sometimes attack his newer proxies, to test their endurance and everything to see if they are worthy of becoming his proxies. Slenderman trains his proxies hard to the fullest extent, to make them either stronger, faster or more adapted. He will even have his proxies fight each other to test their reflexes and strengths on one of another. Sometimes, he will spar with them as well. After all, he wants his proxies to stay strong.

Slenderman tends to see his proxies two way, either as strong soldiers or as weak mooks. For the stronger ones, worthy soldiers that can do the job, and for the weaker ones, extendable foot soldiers to be sacrificed. If a proxy dies because they were too weak, he will feel no regrets or remorse for what happened and that they didn’t deserve to be his proxy, because to him, the weaker ones are merely extendable foot soldiers to be stripped away. However, there will be exceptions, if a proxy who is weak manages to get out of there and make it back to the asylum alive, he will be impressed and congratulate them and say that they are the ideal image of what a proxy should be, someone who is willing to get the job done. He believes that only the strongest will survive and that if they die because they were too weak, this is why.

If a proxy dies because they made a heroic sacrifice, he'll feel some sympathy because they swore to their duties until the very end to carry out in the noble cause. This is rare cause he usually doesn't tend to show it, because obviously, he doesn't have outer eyes or a mouth. He is a being that tends to remain emotionless unless provoked or otherwise.

If a proxy does die, but Slenderman still has a use for them, he will either resurrect them to make them continue, turn them into a ghost of sorts or take whatever is left of them to use them as spare parts to make Frankenstein like foot soldiers known as Zombie proxies.

If a proxy that is one he favors is put in danger or at risk, he will come to their rescue and help kill said aggressor. This is kind of rare, because most proxies are capable fighters and stealth masters, but he will come and assist any of his proxies if there is a reason.

The proxies tend to look up to their master not only as a leader, but as a mentor and as an idol as well as a father figure of sorts. Sure he may be abrasive and sometimes brash to them, but it's all because he tries to keep them in a straight line and to make sure they do what he says.

How he disciplines his proxies depends on the severity of the problem. If it's minor or not too serious, he'll either give them a "slender-chop"(a karate chop to the head), or will just tell them 'just don't do it again'. But if it is very severe, he will harmed them through a strong psychic attack (in other words, Slender using a sharp pain into the proxy's head when they're being insubordinate to him). Other times, he will use his tendrils to whip them or in some cases, bruise them. And in very rare cases, cause slashes on them or impaling them on trees. Other then that, he makes sure they all stay in a straight line.

Long story short, how he reacts to and treats his proxies varies, because he is very unpredictable.

Miscellaneous facts

Usually, proxies are discouraged to have relationship so they aren’t distracted in missions in turn of protecting a potential love, but some do develop feeling for each other or with someone outside of the “Proxy Family” and form relationships anyway. They tend to form couples either with those in the underworld, or in the human world. Although Slender discourages it, he can use it to his advantage to have the offspring ready for future proxification when the time comes.

The “proxy names” are usually chosen by the proxies themselves. Most of the time, it’s a nickname given to how they act, how they kill, from a culture they’re from, psychical or mental illnesses, and even their personality. Sometimes proxies themselves have an unusual name and they use that instead of a pseudonym. Some proxy names end with "the proxy" at the end of their names as a substitute.

The Slender beings that existed before the Slenderman we know of have often passed down the role of the operator for eons when their time has comed from one Slender being to the next. There use to be previous operators back then in ancient times. In the present day, the current Slenderman is thinking about passing the role down to one of his proxies. When the time comes, he will choose a proxy that is worthy of becoming the next Slenderman and will take over as the next operator.

Some proxies tend to bear the operator symbols in their eyes to likely show that they're in allegiance to the Slenderman.

This is the info for my proxy headcanon in my creepypasta universe "Your Darkest Fears".

Update: I have made some changes and updates to the headcanon, in this case, I have replaced the rank of Multipurpose proxies with Other proxies instead, which means any proxy that cannot be categorize in any of the other classes will be categorized here but will be assigned a type ranking or class instead.

Update 2: I have now turned Other proxies into sub classes and now any proxy can be classified in more than one class, depending on their abilities or powers.

Update 3: I have now added a paragraph that talks about "The Executioners," an elite team of proxies that are made to take on the most difficult, dangerous tasks.

Update 4: I have added in Master thief to sub classes and have now turned the paragraph that talks about "The Executioners" into a article and have added a few other things.

Update 5: I have updated the article that talks about the masks.

Update 6: I have now included an explanation on what a proxy is as well as updating some paragraphs and adding in a mention of Mesozoic Island as a way to connect it to the rest of my universe and to show that dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals will be obsticles for the proxies and I have decided to move the classes of Ambush, War/Demolition/executioner, Medic/Healer, Intel/Hacker and Pyro/Arson proxies into the Sub classes because I felt that they can go to just about any proxy that might be skilled at any of these things and to make some things a bit more organized. And I have touched up a few more paragraphs and sections as well. Man, this headcanon is getting bigger.

Any suggestions are always welcome.

Info for some of the proxies came from Encyclopedia Slenderia: slenderia.blogspot.co.uk/2010/…

Note: Things might change from time to time since I'll be likely extending this.

I am looking for proxies to be added in, so if you want your proxy OC to be added in, just comment away in here and I'll find a place for him/her. ntsefan.deviantart.com/art/Pro…
