The many forms of Collin 2/3

Hello again everyone!

For the next part of this trilogy of pics dedicating to the 5th anniversary of Stormtali's character, Collin Farrior, here are the many forms of Collin Farrior.

From left to right we have the forms that Collin has had over the last five years.

I have to say, this is my most epic pic I have ever done since I did my "Unleash your dark side" pic I did about two years ago. The difference is instead of doing several different characters in their alternate forms, I'm doing one character in various forms.

I had spended the last several months doing this pic cause I knew it was going to be huge.
 
It took like three pages of paper to do all of the forms and I combined them all into one pic in MS Paint and I leveled all of them to make sure they were nice and even as possible.


For each of the forms I drawed out, there was quite a lot of details I had to put for quite a variety of reasons.


For the original design of the Normal form, I basically went with the design that was most commonly known, with the black streaky spots in his hair and black attire. I even included the belts on his legs to make him recognizable.

For the Reaper form, he is basically how I drawed him the last time I did him, the only artistic license I have taken were the wings. At the time when I did my "Unleash your dark side", I have never realized that he had wings on his back in reaper form. I only realized it after when I was done with my pic that I noticed the wings on his in the picture of his reaper form. So when drawing the reaper form, I noticed how bony the wings were, and I wondered "How can he fly with those?" I looked a various artworks and pictures of the entity Death itself where he was depicted with wings to get ideas and inspiration, so I gave him huge feathery wings on his back. I imagine those wings would probably fold back when not in use and unfold in case if he were to fly, cause I imagine he probably would be a flyer. The wings may have been a hassle, but at least they were fun to do, considering it was my first time drawing feathered wings.  
 
For the Slenderman form, I kind of stretched him out a bit just to make his form the tallest out of all the alternate forms he had, but he still looks like as how he appeared. And although you can't see it, like my headcanon Slenderman concept design, he has coat tails on his back. Reason why is because I like coat tails.

For the Beast form, I took a lot of artistic license with it because since there was only one pic to go by and because of how small it was, it was quite a challenge. I made his skull into a wolf skull and I gave him a wolf tail because I felt like the beast form didn't look "wolf like" enough. I gave him digitigrade legs because I wanted him to look taller. All in all, in the end, I think he turned out pretty well. I made his pants kind of ripped. The reason why I didn't draw the red pattern design on his pants was because since the pic that featured his beast form was too small, I didn't want to struggle with it. I still kept some of the aspects of his beast form in the pic here, so in the end, at least he looks like the pic.
 
For the Shadow Collin form, like Dark Nemesis in my "Unleash your dark side" pic, it was quite a hassle for me to switch back and forth between several colors when drawing him in this shadow demon form, considering I had to trace along the outline of the normal form in pencil and had to erase it to redraw it in color pencil. But in the end, I think he turned out okay.

For the Reboot design of the Normal form, I traced along the outline of the normal form and altered it to make it look like the reboot design. I trimmed the sleeves down to make them short by drawing the arms inside the sleeves to figure out how much to slim down. I also slimmed down the pants to make them skinny and to makes the boots he wears. Even the belts on his boots were quite a challenge to do, considering how small they were. And when coloring this guy, I had to make the black as light as possible so that it matched his pic. In the end, I think I did alright.

For the Reboot design of the Shadow Collin form, while it wasn't hard to do like the original design of Shadow Collin, it was still quite a hassle for me considering I had to erase his head and redrawed it in color pencils to match his portrayalment in the pic.


All in all, despite a few bumps in the road, I enjoyed drawing out each and every last form.
 
 
This is practically my longest pic I have ever done.

I honestly went through a lot of black when coloring in all of the forms.
 
 
If you guys remembered in my "Unleash your dark side" pic I did, I had a hard time deciding on how I should draw Collin in one of his alternate forms, cause I was going to choose to do him in his 'Slender' form, but I chose the 'reaper' form cause I wanted to try something different and because I think it's awesome. Well there is quite a reason as to why.


I was aware of Shadow Collin's existence, but the reason why I chose the reaper form out of the four forms he had was because originally, I was going to choose to do him in his 'Slender' form, but I chose the 'reaper' form cause I wanted to try something different to make him different from all the others, and since that both The Mutational Terror and Ally Doll were both Slenderman based characters, I thought that having three Slenderman based characters would've looked crowded. And while some might say that both TMT and Ally Doll are both in the same pic, considering the tendrils coming out of their backs, the difference was is that they both have differences enough to not only stand out from each other, but they are different types of life forms where TMT is basically a mutated chimera hybrid and Ally Doll is a reanimated corpse.

And if you're wondering why I didn't choose the beast form, I only found out about it AFTER I did the pic, so I thought about wanting to do it in a future pic someday, which ended up being in this one.

As for Shadow Collin, considering that since Dark Nemesis has already taken the Shadow Demon role, it would've looked odd to have two shadow demons in the same pic, so I decided to go with something else.

In the end, I ended up choosing the reaper because to me, it made the most sense. I wanted him to be in a form that not only made him stand from all the others but still recognizable in his own way, and because of his title as 'the reaper proxy,' I figured it would make sense for him to be in his 'reaper' form, and because since he is the horseman of death, and since he wields a scythe, I figured it fit perfectly.

That's why I chose the grim reaper form out of all of the four forms he had.

Man, this pic has worn me ragged.
