Description

Hello everyone!

Since I have nothing to do around the house, I figured why not do another meme list, this time for the villains I like the most? These are the villains I have chosen, not just for their abilities or their looks, but for their character traits and their impact on the audience. I will pick one villain per movie or franchise, although the list could get really redundant. With all of that said, it's time to list my top 10 favorite villains. Let's go.

Update: Switched Kronos and Python around a bit because I liked Python more than Kronos, mainly because of nostalgia reasons.

10. Megatron (Transformers Prime)

What can I say? This guy is one of my favorite villains ever since childhood, way back in the days of Transformers Armada. When I saw Transformers Prime, I was just blown away. If there is one I like about this series, it would be Megatron himself. He has a awesome vehicle mode, commands an entire army from a warship, the fact that this guy uses dark energon to resurrect an army of the undead and the fact is this guy died twice and came back from the dead is what makes him badass. And he is voiced by Frank Welker, his original voice actor.

9. Doctor Facilier (The Princess and the Frog)

Yes, The Princess and the Frog is one of my favorite movies of all time. When I saw Dr. Facilier for the first time, he just became one of my favorites. He is a voodoo witch doctor who plans to rule the city of New Orleans. With his voodoo magic, the way he persuades his victims only to curse them, his catchy musical number "Are you ready?" and the fact is he is voiced by Keith David just further adds to the reason why he is my favorite. And the fact is this guy has contact to the underworld just makes him more awesome.

8. Father (Fullmetal Alchemist)

If there was any villain I would have to pic from this series, it would be this guy. He is the first homunculus to be created and he can perform alchemy without a transmutation circle and not even needing to move and inch to do so. The fact is this guy tricked the king of Xerxes into creating a country-wide transmutation circle for the creation of a Philosopher's Stone and having both the unaware Van Hohenheim and Homunculus himself be in the center of the circle and absorbing the souls of the population itself and using Hohenheim's blood to make a vessel for himself and making Hohenheim himself immortal and the fact is Homunculus himself, now renamed Father, founded Amestris and taught alchemy to it's people to engineer his grand master plan to engineer every war in the country's history to make a nation wide transmutation circle so that he can absord the power of God for himself and acquire the powers to do whatever he wants and the fact is he sacrifices 50 million people to do it just makes him very the most diabolical being ever. And with Kent Williams doing his voice, he just stands out as one of my favorite anime villains of all time.

7. Aku (Samurai Jack)

This guy has everything what I like about a supervillain. He's got a cool set of abilities shape shifting, fire breathing, laser vision, tearing holes through the space time continuum, etc. And he go from funny one moment and scary the next is what makes him enjoyable to watch. And he has done a lot of terrible stuff as a result, like destroying Jack's village, plunging other kingdoms into eternal darkness, deceiving other people, black mailing a robot to kill Jack by threating to kill the only thing he ever loved so much, and so much more. And the fact he is he was voiced by Mako is what really makes him a favorite because he just does the best evil laugh ever.

6. Braiking Boss (Casshern Sins)

Ever since I saw this series a few years ago, I just could not get enough of the post apocalyptic future setting of it and this series just ended up being my favorite. Since Casshern is my favorite hero of the series, who is my favorite villain? It would be no other than Braiking Boss himself. He is the commander and leader of the robot army and is the one who ordered the assassination of Luna, the savior of mankind, thus him being the true cause of mankind's destruction. He is my favorite of the series on how this guy is built up to be. He watches Casshern from afar throught the first several episodes, meets Casshern face to face to reveal the truth about him halfway through the series, eventually finds Luna to make his robot army immortal so that he can conquer likely the world and eventually fights Casshern in a one on one fight where Braiking Boss eventually goes down in defeat. Unlike most villains, he actually accepts his faith because he sees his death by the hands of his former subordinate as a form of divine retribution, which really adds to his character because since he was the one that started the apocalypse, he is killed by the one he gave the order to killed Luna to in the first place. And what really adds to him is that in the original series "Casshan" that Casshern Sins is based on, he was a prototype robot known as BK-1, the first android created by Dr. Azuma. He was designed to help bring the human race and the robots together, but he was struck by lightning and rebelled, renaming himself Buraiking Boss (his original name in the original series). He leads the Android Army in a plot to conquer the Earth. And to add to all of that, he was voiced by J. Paul Slavens in the english dub of series which makes him my favorite villain to be chosen for this list.

5. Shredder (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012)

For all of you TMNT fans out there, you knew I was going to choose this guy. Shredder belong on this list for a good reason. The guy is a ninja master, has a lot of experienced in ninjutsu, leads an entire ninja clan, has connections to other crime syndicates, has fought all four of the turtles on a daily basis and the fact on how scarishly strong he is really shows how dangerous he is. And Kevin Michael Richardson doing his voice is just awesome.

4. Kronos (Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters)

Yes, I like the Percy Jackson movies and I am not afraid to say it. I saw both movies and I enjoyed them for what they were worth, but if there was one I had to choose, it would be Sea of Monsters. One of the reasons why is because of Kronos. As many of you would know, from Greek mythology, He was the king of the titans until he was dethroned by Zeus and was banished as a result. Eventually in the present day, Luke plans to revive Kronos by using the Golden Fleece so Olympus will be destroyed. And when Luke eventually does revive him, Kronos eats him as a result. I guess my reasons on why I like him is because if his design. I like giant monsters, cut me some slack. The way he keeps floating around in pieces while he puts himself back together as he moves is pretty cool. And the fight scene with Percy is awesome. And he has Robert Knepper doing that sick, demonic voice.

Author's note: As of 2024, I haven't seen the TV series yet, but from what I have heard about it, it's actually really good and I hope to see it someday in the future, and I hope that when they do get to Kronos himself eventually, I like to see how well they do him justice in the future, and maybe, just maybe, get Robert Knepper to reprise his role as Kronos, because he was just that too damn good in the movie to not be used again, but we'll have to wait and see.

3. Python (The movie of the same name)

Of all of the monster movies I saw way back in the early 2000's, this one stuck out with me for a variety of reasons. It was one of the first violent movies I have ever seen that didn't make me squeamish (for the most part), and all of it has to do with the films major antagonist, the humongous 60 foot long python itself. The Python is my choice for number three. This giant snake stuck out as a favorite of mines for a number of reasons. The fact that this thing was created by the Russians as a ultimate weapon, the ability to spray acid on its targets reducing them to nothing but bones, it harden scales that can deflect tank rounds, can move up to speeds of 60 miles per hour, and it eats just about anything that moves even going to the point of sneaking up behind just about anyone and attacking them without warning. Kronos's dialogue makes for a scary character, this thing's silence and roar makes for a horrific man made monster. This thing's near invurnarability which really pushed the stakes for the heroes in the climax is what could make for a conventional climax. The only way the heroes could defeat it was by drenching it in acid, to destroy it with the very thing it uses. It really is a perfect villain for this movie.

2. Ultron (The Avengers: Age of Ultron)

I could've put any of the villains from the MCU on this list like Red Skull, Ronan the Accuser, Iron Monger, Abomination, Loki, Vulture etc. There are a lot of villains in the MCU that could fill up this list, but I'll be saving them for a whole other list all together. The MCU has a lot of villains that I really like. But of all of the villains that really stand out to me the most, it would have to be Ultron. This guy was a A.I. created by Tony Stark in a attempt to bring world peace, only for Ultron to become self aware and escape and makes a new body for himself and plans to use Sokovia to cause a massive extinction so that he can bring peace to Earth by wiping out humanity and he recruits Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver to help him, and he also plan to use vibranium to make himself a new body to complete his evolution. And when faces off the Avengers in a 9 against 100 or so fight when he plans to activate the pillar to drop Sokovia, he raises the stakes when he has his robot minions try to activate the pillar to drop the part of Sokovia by having through the combined efforts of Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlett Witch, Quicksilver and Vision fend them off for as long as possible. I guess what I really like about him is he wants to achieve peach, but believes that eradicating humanity is the only way to do so. He has the ability to shoot lasers, possesses the ability of flight and can transfer his mind from one robot to another, making him almost impossible to destroy, even if you destroy his body, cause everytime when you damage his body, he just builds another and gets stronger. And with him being played by James Spader, he just stands out as my favorite. What really makes him stand out the most is like Braiking Boss himself, the major event he causes leads to another that occurs in the future MCU films like Captain America: Civil War. And all of this is what really makes Ultron take the two spot.

Before I go to number one, here are some honorable mentions.

Honorable Mentions

Rattlesnake Jake (Rango)

The Dragon Emperor (The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor)

Jafar (Aladdin)

Hexxus (Ferngully)

Ivan Ooze (The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie)

The Grand Duke of Owls (Rock a Doodle)

Cat R. Waul (An American Tail 2: Fievel Goes West)

The Lizard (The Amazing Spider-Man)

Slade (Teen Titans)

Malware (Ben 10: Omniverse)

Starscream (Transformers)

The Black Scorpion (The movie of the same name)

Hannibal Lector (Silence of the Lambs)

Hades (Hercules)

Smaug (The Hobbit movies)

Lord Rothbart (The Swan Princess)

And finally, my number one choice is....

1. Medusa (Soul Eater)

This character is just my number one favorite for a variety of reasons. She experimented on her own child Crona in a attempt to turn him into a kishin, has Soul be infected by the black blood so that she can use him and Maka as part of her experiment, infiltrates the DWMA under the disguise as a nurse, threatened a witch named Eureka with dismemberment by making her serve Medusa unless she tried to resist, planned to use the black blood to revive Asura so that she can send the planet's evolution back in motion, steals the body of a girl named Rachel when her original body gets destroyed by the combined efforts of Stein and Spirit, manipulates everyone to her own whims and so much more that she fucks with your mind. She has the power of vector arrows to attack anyone from far away, can make vector plates to send her targets into another direction, infest people with her own snakes and has snake tattoos on her arm that she can use and they can act on their own without her having to use her own magic, even when she has soul protect activated. And if that wasn't enough, what makes her very terrifying the most is that trademark "snake face" of hers, with those eyes that look like they're staring right into your own. Looking at them is like looking into a black vortex and seeing all of your worstest nightmares together. What makes her really evil is that she is willing to all of this to send the world back to it's natural state of evolution. She's willing to hurt others and all of this really makes her despicable all together. She has Luci Christian doing that sick, sinister voice that really adds to her villainy. So above all, Medusa is my number one villain, not just because she is detestable, but she is basically what I expect from a villain. To be so horribly evil.

Well those are my top 10 favorite villains. If you got any favorites, feel free to share them in the comments. This is Nick The Steam Engine Fan and I will see you next time on my next meme.

But there is one villain that is the most pure evil villain of all villains.
